Honoring the Old Guard 2020

August 28, 2020

It’s the time of year when the Club pays tribute to our Old Guard members and this year we have a lot to celebrate. Not only do we welcome the Great Class of ’55, we have a record 7 Old Guard members!

We are all looking forward to being together in person again. In the meantime: Let’s have a virtual locomotive for our very special Old Guard!

Here’s the roster:

Recipient of the Pete Keenan’35 Cane -Awarded to the oldest member of the oldest class at every club event. Our Founding President, Scott Foster’58, created this award, in the spirit of the University community’s reverence for the Old Guard. The cane also honors Pete Keenan ’35,*36, our club member who twice carried the Class of 1923 Cane  in the P-Rade, in 2014 and 2015. A silver tiger head adorns our Club’s beautiful cane, which is secured in an exceptional Tiger Maple case, created by master woodworker, Bill Barrett "66
